OK, I got tired of waiting for NBC to make the announcement, so I'm just going to post the names I've heard for the new female gladiators:

• Monica Carlson [Jet]
• Erin Toughill [Steel]
• Jennifer Widerstrom [Phoenix]
• Unknown [Panther]

Additionally, four of the first season six are returning. They are:

• Robin Coleman [Hellga]
• Gina Carano [Crush]
• Valerie Waugaman [Siren]
• Beth Horn [Venom]

Before being officially announced as a gladiator, Erin Toughill is already getting slammed in the press. TMZ ran a story this week reporting that he ex-husband, fellow MMA fighter Clark Bevans, filed some rather unfortunate legal documents regarding Toughill. The two were married for 11 months (2006-2007) before getting an annulment, and Bevans subsequently obtained a restraining order against Toughill, claiming that she had physically assaulted him on several occasions.

Of course there are always two sides to a story. Here's hoping there's not more dirt on Toughill coming after the season two premier.

"American Gladiators" classic gladiator Lori "Ice" Fetrick at a fitness expo earlier this year. She looks pretty terrific. Heres' another video showing her back in the day.

The new season two promo spot for "American Gladiators" is running on NBC. "Access Hollywood" has the video here.

The two female gladiators featured are Gina "Crush" Carano and Beth "Venom" Horn. I'm kinda surprised to see Horn showing up in season two. Good for her.
