Siren: Valerie WaugamanSiren: Valerie WaugamanAt the Ironman pro in Los Angeles this past weekend, Valerie Waugaman ("Siren" on "American Gladiators") announced her retirement from IFBB figure competitions.

"I don’t want to go on the stage and be anything less than spectacular," Wauagaman told Allan Donnelly of FlexOnline. She also said that:

The sport has brought me to a new opportunity in the entertainment business. Right now, I feel the opportunity is large for me to be able to influence children and adults in a positive way in terms of health and fitness and wellness.

I missed this on G4 last night, but luckily someone posted it to DailyMotion. "Rock-solid amazons" Siren and Hellga humiliate Zach Selwyn of "Attack of the Show" in the gym. It's pretty funny.

Valerie Waugaman Interview

Siren: Valerie WaugamanSiren: Valerie WaugamanThe Post of Ohio University interviews alumnus Valerie Waugaman in today's edition. Waugaman discusses her time at Ohio University, why she became a figure competitor and also details about "American Gladiators":

Post: Did you have a favorite event?

Waugaman: Yes. I actually thought that I was really not going to like doing Powerball, which is sort of football like where the contestants have to run and put balls into baskets and we try to tackle them … but when I was in it, my adrenaline got so pumped up and when I was tackling it was so fun. I couldn’t wait to do it again. Plus, it’s a team event so there’s a lot of energy.
