Here's another video featuring the lovely and seriously buff Sharon vanderHorst, who was a contender to become a gladiator in season 2.

Gladiator WorkoutWe probably won't be seeing any more seasons of the New American Gladiators but it's great to see some of the foxy female gladiators showing up in a workout video.

In this fitness DVD, Gina Carano [Crush], Jennifer Widerstrom [Phoenix] and Monica Carlson [Jet] all work those hard, strong bodies while instructing people following along at home.

Tragically, three male gladiators are also included in the DVD. Titan is the only one I can tolerate - Wolf and the screaming guy with all the tattoos are basically insufferable. But that's what the fast-forward and mute buttons are for, right?

I have to admit that Widerstrom [Phoenix] became my favorite gladiator - she's so curvy and athletic that it's hard not to be awed by her. Still, Jet always came off as pretty brainy and Carano as self-effacing and tough, which are also very admirable qualities. It's really a shame that the male gladiators seemed like such preening morons compared to the women.

Tatum's really cute - shame she didn't qualify. Don't forget to watch the next episode on Monday night.

Phoenix Flexes: Wow!TV.com has a bunch of photos of Phoenix from "American Gladiators" - who is played by Jennifer Widerstrom - mislabeled as being Valerie Waugaman, who plays Siren. In the photo at right, Widerstrom flexes one those amazing arms - look at that bulging biceps! Wow!

Phoenix has probably got the most amazing body on a show full of people with amazing bodies. She's obviously solid as a rock but still manages to be shaped like a pin-up. If there was a co-ed version of the show, I'd train and try out for "American Gladiators" just in the hope of getting banged around by Phoenix (but since there's not I'll just stay comfortable here on my couch).

I've noticed that Phoenix has rapidly become the most popular gladiator on this site and on the web, so hopefully that popularity will translate into success for Jennifer Widerstrom.
